Stephen joined Healthwatch Kingston upon Thames in August 2017 with over 20 years’ experience working in the public, private and voluntary sectors. He is a member of the recently formed Notting Hill Genesis and Notting Hill Home Ownership Boards, after joining the Board of Genesis Housing Association in May 2017, and Director of his company Nudge Associates that provides consultancy services to health, social care, and wellbeing sectors.
Stephen worked for six years as a National Support Team (NST) Delivery Manager for the Department of Health. The NST ran supportive diagnostic assessment visits to local NHS Trusts and Local Authorities throughout England to help areas achieve key Government policy deliverables.
Stephen then headed up a team at MBARC, which was responsible for 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games sexual health programme resilience, transformation and engagement. He was formerly, Chief Executive of the UK Coalition of People Living with HIV and AIDS, a founder Director of HIVsport and a Trustee of MADaboutART - a charity that exists to unite children around the world in understanding and fighting HIV and AIDS through art and education.
Stephen is delighted to join Healthwatch Kingston, as this fulfils an aspiration to use his experience, skills and competencies to champion local community voices through a London health and social care organisation.
