Volunteer Telephone Interviewer
We are planning to seek feedback from users of Connected Kingston, a new service that aims to help local residents find support and activities in the community that will help them to make positive changes to their health and wellbeing. Often referred to as “social prescribing”, this programme will link residents to voluntary and community groups and public services enabling them to meet new people, become more involved in their communities, and feel more connected with the area they live in.
Time required: variable, starting from April/May 2019.
- Strong verbal skills, with a clear, respectful and understanding telephone manner
- A non-judgmental approach
- Ability to listen and write notes at the same time, using a series of open and closed questions
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of local people
- Typing skills desirable
All of our Volunteers must adhere to the Healthwatch Kingston Volunteer Code of Conduct.
We will offer full training and support starting in April/May 2019
Expenses - We value our volunteers and want to ensure that there are no barriers to volunteer involvement. All out-of-pocket expenses, if required, will be reimbursed including expenses for travel, and other pre-authorised expenses.
