Summer Vaccination Plans

Statement from the NHS about summer vaccination plans in Kingston and Richmond.
Covid19 Vaccine

Following national guidance, you are likely to see changes in where Covid-19 vaccinations are offered over the summer months. Over July and August national forecasts show that demand for the Covid-19 vaccine will drop significantly, by up to 85% from current levels. As a result, some of our vaccination sites will pause over the summer.

We are working locally and regionally both within the NHS and with partners to make sure that vaccine is always available to everyone who wants a first, second or third dose and to reduce uptake inequalities in our communities. Local people can book an appointment ahead of time using the national booking service or can find a walk-in vaccination site.

The following sites will remain open for vaccinations in Kingston over the summer period: Ace Pharmacy, Boots - Kingston upon Thames, Pearl Chemist – Surbiton, PSM Pharmacy, Central Surgery, Fairhill Medical Practice.

I wanted to reassure you, that recognising the needs of Kingston, we are committed to providing regular pop-up clinics in areas of lower uptake.
