Mental health problems can affect anyone, any day of the year, but 10 October is a great day to show your support for better mental health and start looking after your own wellbeing.

Time to Change Kingston continue to raise awareness of mental health issues and fight against discrimination and stigma. The Kingston Hub is hosted by the Royal Borough of Kingston Council and coordinated by Healthwatch Kingston.

The project and initiatives are being run by a group of Time to Change Champions who volunteer their time to put on some great events and initiatives in aid of the fight against mental health stigma. For World Mental Health Day, these include:

Wednesday 7th October, 6pm on Zoom

Time to Change Kingston Champion, Sarah, will be hosting a live 'In conversation' event with fashion model Alvina on the topic fashion and mental health. They will be revisiting a social experiment back in April 2019, at Espacio Gallery where Alvina modelled and performed in garments that raise awareness of obsessive compulsive disorder and schizophrenia.

Saturday 10th October on social media

We have some exciting content that will be released on social media on World Mental Health Day that the Champions have been busy creating so please make sure you keep an eye out for our posts on TwitterFacebook and Instagram @TTCKingston.

Sunday 11th October, 4pm on Zoom:

Time to Change Kingston Champion Elinor will be hosting a discussion around music to bring like-minded music lovers together from the Kingston community. Join us and share the music and songs that have kept your spirits up during the pandemic.
