If you are experiencing something that makes you feel unsafe, distressed, or worried about your mental health, you can now contact your local crisis service by calling:

South West London St George's Mental Health Crisis line on 0800 028 8000 if you live in Kingston, Merton, Richmond, Sutton or Wandsworth

Only call 999 or go to A&E if someone's life is at risk - for example they have seriously injured themselves or taken an overdose, or you do not feel you can keep yourself or someone else safe.

Visit a Recovery Cafe - walk-in help

If you are struggling with how you are feeling or feel at risk of going into crisis, your local Recovery Café can help. Recovery Cafés are a free walk-in out of hours service where you can talk to people who will understand and help you.   

You don’t need a referral or an appointment to visit. You can ring ahead if you need any support getting there or would like to speak with a member of staff first.

Mind in Kingston is dedicated to supporting people in the borough who are experiencing mental health difficulties. They offer a range of free and low-cost services tailored to individual needs, including one-to-one peer support, counselling, wellbeing workshops, and advocacy.

Whether you're living with a diagnosed mental health condition or simply finding life challenging, Mind in Kingston provides a safe, non-judgemental space to get help. Their services are open to adults of all backgrounds, and you can refer yourself directly — no GP referral needed.

OK Rehab specialises in local drug and alcohol rehab and addiction treatment. Free of charge OK Rehab provides advice on both private and public treatment options, offering judgement free support and guidance to help you find treatment that suits your needs.

Tellmi

Tellmi  is a safe, anonymous app for young people. You can talk to people your age who get what you are going through. This inclusive digital community, where young people can help themselves and each other, is moderated to keep you safe, with on-hand counsellors for extra support.

Helplines

Samaritans offer confidential non-judgemental emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which could lead to suicide.
