health and wellbeing day
The Primary Care team in Kingston & Richmond decided to hold Health and Wellbeing Events in each borough in order to provide:

  • An opportunity to receive the COVID-19 vaccination;
  • Health & wellbeing advice from a range of local services and organisations;
  • Essential kits (containing toiletries and long-life food items);
  • Hair cuts, hand massages and mini manicures and;
  • A hot breakfast and lunch

Two posters were created for the day: How to Register with a GP and How to Register with a Dentist.  This was based on feedback we received at previous events. Healthwatch Kingston retained the posters following the event for ongoing use.

55 people attended the event. 8 people attended for COVID vaccinations. The barber saw 23 people for haircuts. The SPEAR Clothing Project gave out clothing to 20 people. The BBV team tested 4 people for Hep B and Hep C, all of which were negative. One of these visitors booked in to see their nurse at a later date for a fibroscan.
