Enter and View Report - Bourne House
The Enter and View visit to Bourne House was conducted as part of HWK’s series of announced Enter and View visits to local care and nursing homes which took place between April 2024 – April 2025. Funding was continued for a further year to March 2026, with visits in the current year to include supported living provisions.
Summary
We visited Bourne House on two consecutive weeks at different times of the day, to enable us to observe the lunchtime and evening meals, and any activities that took place during the day
Overall, Healthwatch Kingston Authorised Representatives concluded that Bourne House seemed to be a well-run facility which was working hard to provide the best care to the residents.
This report has been shared with Bourne House who have had the opportunity to check it for factual accuracy and respond to our recommendations. It will subsequently be shared with, Kingston Borough Council, Care Quality Commission, Kingston Care Governance Board, and other stakeholders. We will also share this report with Healthwatch England. We have agreed with the management of Bourne House the next steps to be taken in response to outstanding recommendations.
