The Down Syndrome Act 2022 is a law to help make life better for people with Down syndrome and their families and carers.

As part of the law, the government has to write clear guidance for public services like health, social care, and education on how to support people with Down syndrome in England.

Guidance is like rules that services should follow.

The government has now launched a draft of this guidance. The government would like to hear feedback from different people. This will help them to see if the right things are in the guidance and if anything needs to change.

You can answer:

  • for yourself
  • for someone else
  • for an organisation

You can read the draft guidance here.

Individuals and organisations can find out about how to give feedback here.

Easy read versions of the guidance and survey are here.

You can give feedback until the 28th of January 2026.
