Healthwatch Kingston independently chairs and facilitates the Kingston Mental Health and Wellbeing Group, bringing together professional stakeholders from various sectors to address mental health service needs in Kingston upon Thames. This is an open group that actively encourages people with lived experiences of mental health to participate.
The group established itself co-producing the Thrive Kingston Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy. The Strategy was launched in June 2017 and set out a five year journey to enhance the mental wellbeing of the whole Kingston community.
More recently the group has supported the development and implementation of key strategies and programs, including the Kingston Better Mental Health JSNA and the Preventing Suicide in Kingston Strategy.
Since 2025, the group has been the formal sub-group of the Kingston and Richmond Place Mental Health Committee.
On this page you can find papers from past meetings for both the Kingston Mental and Wellbeing Group and the Kingston and Richmond Place Mental Health Committee.
